Going to Haiti was never something
I would say that I “wanted” to do, even up to the
time I got on the plane the morning we left. However, once God
got me there He opened my eyes to see the reality of the way
much of the rest of the world lives. Getting outside my American
bubble was one of the best experiences of my life. |
| Although uncomfortable at times,
God used the Haiti trip to teach me how to live for Him in a
more real way then I ever thought possible. I went to Haiti
thinking I was bringing my good deeds and blessings to the poor
people there, but what I came back with was so much more… |

the desire to live a life unafraid
and unencumbered by material things, and a drive to serve the
Lord in ways that I never before would have even considered.

| The church and people in Jacmel,
Haiti are such a blessing. One of my favorite things about the
missions trip to Haiti is the fact that the ministry that takes
place while we are in Jacmel is in partnership with the local
church. |

|
So, not only do you have an opportunity to go in and share
Jesus with the unsaved, but, you have a chance to encourage
and build up the body of Christ that is already established
there and to partner with them to impact their own community.
