United Caribbean Trust urging Bajans to take part in shoe box drive

AT CHRISTMAS, some Haitian children's faces will glow with happiness, all because of Bajan generosity.

On Sunday children and parents of the Charles F. Broome Primary School filled more than 200 shoe boxes with non-perishable items, part of the United Caribbean Trust drive to assist disadvantaged children in Haiti.

The gifts include toys, school supplies, personal care items and clothing.

Founder of the trust, Jenny Tryhane, is appealing to adults to support the $15 Sponsor A Box programme.
