Children Community Project

The Children’s Home

The Children’s Home is located in the north of the island Barbados, in the parish of St. Peter. It is nested between Allendale Plantation. It lies on approximately 1000 sq ft of land.

This country home is surrounded by cane fields. It was established in August 1967 by the Child Care Board and is one of six homes for neglected, abused or orphaned children. It houses ten children, five girls and five boys ranging in age from 5-15 years.

Happy Christmas

We have been making weekly and biweekly visits to the Farrs Children Home since January 2006. During this time we built rapport with the children as we realized that this was vital to achieving trust.
