Seen here receiving her Christmas
gift from the founder of United Caribbean Trust.
The party was a partnership between United
Caribbean Trust and Restoration Ministries Haiti. It was the
conclusion of months of hard work as hundreds of children
in Schools around Barbados packed shoe boxes for the Make
Jesus Smile project.
Seen here receiving her Easter Make
Jesus Smile shoebox, sent to her from the children of
Barbados.
Here's what your sponsorship provides
for a baby:
The first 1/3rd of the fees will go to the pre
primary school to cover school fees, uniform, shoes etc. This
will include a daily half hour Bouncing
Baby Early Childhood Education Programme, from 14:00
- 14:30 to be held at Les Tourterelles School.
The next 1/3rd will be invested into a Family
Empowerment Programme enabling the rural family to
purchase livestocks such as goats, chickens, pigs or a cow. For
the urban family the opportunity for sewing machines, trading
and other business opportunities will open for them to enable
them to be self sufficient. US $30 will be invested into a BioSand
Water Filter to provide clean water per household.
The last 1/3rd will go towards funding the After
School Club which is being established at the local
Restoration Ministries Haiti church in Morne Oge. This will include
an afternoon feeding programme and a child educational, character
building evangelical teaching programme which the child can join
as he grows up into the system, flowing from the Bouncing Baby
class into the other After School classes once she joins the Pre
Primary School at age 3.
