Additional Information:
She lives with a family relative and has1
sister and a twin sister plus a brother. She enjoys cooking
and doing her chores around the home. Her aspiration is to
become a nurse.
Seen here receiving her Christmas
gift from the founder of United Caribbean Trust.
It was the conclusion of months of hard work
as hundreds of children in Schools around Barbados packed
shoe boxes for the Make Jesus
Smile project.
Widelene had a wonderful time
at the Christmas Party held in Jacmel. The party was a partnership
between United Caribbean Trust and Restoration Ministries
Haiti.
Your love gift of US $30 per month goes into
action in several ways.
Here's what your sponsorship provides
for this child:
The wonderful feeling of being loved by a Christian
friend that he or she has not met, but who cares enough to be
a sponsor.
The opportunity to attend school. Only 15% of
the children in rural Haiti attend school, and fewer than 25%
of adult Haitians are literate.
A uniform, books and supplies for school. Things
that many children can only dream about.
The first 1/3rd of the fees will go to the school
to cover school fees, uniform, shoes, books and pencils etc.
The next 1/3rd will be invested into a Family
Empowerment Programme enabling the family to purchase
livestocks such as goats, chickens, pigs or a cow. This will not
only assist with feeding the family but educate the children in
self sufficiency.US $30 will be invested into a BioSand
Water Filter to provide clean water per household.
The last 1/3rd will go towards funding the After
School Club which is being established at the local
Restoration Ministries Haiti church in Morne Oge
The child sponsorship programme
has enabled Restoration Ministries Haiti to start the Afternoon
Feeding Programme and we are expecting to be
ready very soon to start the child music educational, character
building evangelical teaching programme.
