Haiti Child Sponsorship - boys 11 - 13 years

The children of Haiti have been seriously impacted by the Haiti earthquakewhich was a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 Mw earthquake.

The earthquake occurred at 16:53 local time on Tuesday, 12 January 2010 By 24 January, at least 52 aftershocks measuring 4.5 or greater had been recorded.

As of February 12th 2010, an estimated three million people were affected by the quake; the Haitian Government reports that between 217,000 and 230,000 people had been identified as dead, an estimated 300,000 injured, and an estimated 1,000,000 homeless.

Under the direction of the Haiti Kids' EE Director Pastor Pierre Banes Laurore the team in Haiti have risen to the occasion and are using their initiative to launch a new and exciting Haiti child sponsorship program.

To help generate much needed funds to support the expansion of this ministry in this great time of need.

The team in Haiti are focusing their efforts on the children and ministries that were trained last summer in the 11 Teacher Training Summer Camps. Most of whom were impacted in some way by the recent earthquake.

The Haiti team have worked tirelessly providing clean water by distributing Sawyer PointOne water filters to all the ministries trained. Much of the money for this excellent project was provided by EE International and other Kids' EE teachers in the Caribbean.

5 churches were represented.

It is our vision to feed these children five days a week in 10 Kids' Power Clubs, where 1,500 children will be fed physically and Spiritually funded from this child sponsorship propram.

Money from the Haiti child sponsorship will also go towards translating kids ministry material, printing of materials, Bible Studies and purchasing Bibles that will be needed as we disciple these children.
