Haiti Mission Vacations

Mission House Haiti

Mama Yol first moved back to Haiti at the turn of the new Millennium and she and her late husband built this lovely home in the suburbs of Bon Repos.

There is a large entrance foyer that is used by the orphans as a place to hang out!

UCT is installing solar electricity in this area so there will always be light in the entrance.

All the cooking for the orphanage is done in the well equipped communal kitchen.

There are two large living rooms downstairs, seen below staff and friends of the orphanage helping to sort the Make Jesus Smile shoeboxes prior to distribution.

A large dining room is housed at the end of one of the lounges and can comfortable sit 8 people, additional tables can be set up in this room if needed.

The food is good, Haitian food with lots of freshly squeezed natural fruit juice.

Upstairs is reserved for missionaries that may want to enjoy a week on a Short Term Mission Holiday. UCT utilizes this facility the first and last day of our mission trip to Les Cayes. Mama Yol picks us up at the airport and transports use to her lovely facility, Its only US $20 per night including breakfast the next morning before we head down to Les Cayes.

There is a large open deck leading off from the communal living room overlooking the mountains of Port au Prince.

This is a lovely, breezy place to sit especially as the sun sets and in the cool of the evening.

The Mission house is located next door the the orphanage, the school and church, separated by a green hedge.

The entire property is surrounded by a tall wall and presents a very safe environment, a natural and Spiritual oasis in the heart of Port au Prince, with enormous potential for outreach.

Just 20 minutes drive from the airport this makes an ideal Mission House and United Caribbean Trust is excited about the possibility of encouraging missionaries from the Caribbean and North America to visit and get involved in numerous projects that we are partnering with the Yolanda Thervil Foundation to see come to fruition.
