Haiti Moringa Community Project

We are believing God that we will be able to introduce the Haiti Community Moringa Project through the children of the Haitian After School Clubs.

The Haiti Community Moringa Project will start in these PowerClubs within the Les Cayes district where Jenny did a KIMI training in January 2013..

The Moringa Processing Plant will be built in Les Cayes under the guidance of Pastor Pierre Banes Laurore.

The project will be spearheaded by Pastor Lucner and Pastor Banes both seen here during the KIMI training in 2012

Spearheaded by Lucner and Pastor Bannis both seen here during the KIMI training in 2012.

Moringa was one the greatest gifts which Nature bestowed on man - this was known to the ancient world and they regarded the tree as a “Cure-all Tree”. They also saw the Moringa tree as an “Elixir of long life”, “the Tree of Immortality”, “the Tree of Life”, “the Never Die Tree”, “the Miracle Tree, and “Mother’s best friend”. Other common names for Moringa are: Horse-radish tree, Benolive tree (referring to the oil) Drumstick tree (referring to the large drumstick shaped pods).

Land has been allocated for UCT's first Moringa Pilot Project. This land belongs to the family of Lucner who works the land and is delighted to be a part of the project.

Step 1: Morringa seeds will be hatched and planted 1 meter apart to form a living hedge around the allocated land.

Three farmers have been identified who have land and are willing to be a part of the Moringa Pilot Project.
