Hebron Mission Training School was founded in 1996 by two Missionaries from overseas an American, Apostle James Cooper and a Dutch man Rev Jan Kool. Hebron is the training facility for Evangelic Centre Suriname (ECS ) and out of this excellent School over the last 40 years over 55 churches have been planted

The Vision was to train believers for Mission work with the purpose to plant churches throughout Suriname and abroad.

Since 1969 Hebron Mission Training School has moved to several locations until in 1981 by the Grace of God it finally was in a position to purchase land off the Martin Luther King Highway in District Para and build the now existing property.

Hebron has had three principles over the years the present principal is Rev Oliver Chester who took over from Apostle Mac-Nak Benny over 10 years ago.


The Mission Training School has produced numerous Missionaries with over 300 students trained and sent into the Mission fields of Suriname, Guyana, French Guyana, Netherland Antilles, Holland and America.

The training is a three year, full time internship the focus is on:


• Character
• Knowledge
• Ability
• Ministry

The first two years are focused on the study program and character and the last year of the training is practical application on the field.

Students are excepted on recommendation of their Pastor. Following a successful interview with the Principal of the Training School.

School year starts in October the same time as the Public Schools in Suriname.
