Empowerment Life Skill Program
A part of the Life Skills Program is to build on
and strengthen women’s existing skills and to introduce new
skills in traditional and non-traditional fields enabling the mothers
to access future employment opportunities.
Local instructors will provide vocational skills training in dressmaking,
arts and craft, jewelry-making and other areas so women can find
a job or start their own home-based businesses.
An exciting new development has arisen that will enable
us to employ some of the women in the Women's Empowerment
Program to sew our new HopePAK
for the street children
in Kampala and Dar Es Salaam.
Technical training in computer skills and basic
book keeping could also be provided.
