Pomegranates are an ancient fruit and have been thought to have health-giving properties for millennia.

Pomegranate tree grows to about five and eight meters tall. It cultivated at a commercial scale throughout the Tropical regions for its fruits. Established Pomegranate trees bear numerous spherical, bright red, purple, or orange-yellow colored fruits depending on the type. On an average, each fruit measures about 6-10 cm in diameter and weighs about 200 gm.
