The Teen Challenge staff has identified the need for a carpentry vocational workshop to encourage advanced students (those who are inclined) to learn carpentry as well as furniture repair and upholstery. This component of the Teen Challenge program is geared to helping students become productive and equipped in this field, while securing much needed revenue for the daily operations of the program.
At Teen Challenge we have found that some students are not academically inclined. As a result, we try to meet the needs of each individual to be able to offer relevant programs and projects that will address the issues that each student faces.
What we have found over the years, is that learning a skill gives students confidence and the ability to possess the power to lift themselves from the depths of addiction and low self esteem.

The start up cost of this initiative is $15,000.00 BBD.
