The programme will start, God willing, in Haiti within these schools and rapidly extending into Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada (Carriacou), Guyana, Trinidad, St Lucia, Suriname and Honduras.

United Caribbean Trust has established a Caribbean equivalent to Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child, we have called our project 'Make Jesus Smile'

We have extended the project into numerous schools within Barbados and it seems destined to become an end of term activity. Enabling the children of Barbados to send a shoe box of love and hope into desperately poor situations, such as Haiti, the Carib Territory of Dominica, Honduras and Suriname.

United Caribbean Trust's Founder, Jenny Tryhane and UCT Early Childhood CoOrdinator, Paulette Scantlebury who travelled to Haiti, mid May 2007, to deliver 200 shoe boxes to the sponsored children with the three schools named above as part of the Easter Make Jesus Smile shoebox programme.

We are believing God to help us establish the Adopt a School programme whilst there and lay the foundations for the After School Club.

A sponsor a teacher program has been introduced and US $100 per month will assist us in supporting a teacher.
