United Caribbean Trust has been distributing Sawyer PointOne water filtration systems since the earthquake struck Haiti in 2010 and we are now poised to do the same thing in Antigua/Barbuda and Dominica. As we partner with The Living Room to bring clean water to these devastated island and share with them The Living Water.

Remember when the Haiti cholera epidemic rocked the Western Hemisphere's poorest nation with another emergency to deal with following the catastrophic earthquake that killed more than a three hundred thousand people and left millions homeless and still living in tents years later!

UCT is in an excellent position to distribute the Sawyer PointOne filters because we have an excellent network of pastors and teachers within Haiti to assist with distribution.

"A nationwide outbreak with tens of thousands of cases is a real possibility," the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said in a statement.

Not only do they offer the highest level of filtration available but are low cost, easy to use and will absolutely change the way people treat water in developing countries.

Seen here Pastor Paul demonstrating the use of the filter and the connection technique.

Using technology taken from kidney dialysis, Sawyer® water filters use Hollow Fiber Membranes. Our filters are comprised of tiny "U" shaped micro tubes that allow water to enter into their core through tiny micro pores.

The PointONE Filter's™ pores are so small (0.1 micron absolute) that no bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E.Coli, Cholera and Typhoid can get through. Each filter is certified for ABSOLUTE microns. Simply put, it is impossible for bacteria to pass through the 0.1 micron filter and impossible for bacteria and viruses to pass through the 0.02 micron purifier.
