Sis Arthur’s journey with God began about thirty-five years
ago in her
final year of Secondary School. Since then, her love for the Lord
and commitment to Him have strengthened considerably. Her goal is
to live for Him solely and to be a vessel of honour, which He can
use to His honour and glory.
She is a teacher by profession at the Lester Vaughan Secondary
School
where she teaches Spanish and History to CSEC (or C.X.C) level.
She presently serves with her husband who has been the Pastor of
the Mount Hill Church of the Nazarene for the past 15 years. They
have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Lisa and Linae.
Over the years, she has served in various roles (too numerous to
mention) both at her local church and also at district level. At
the moment, she is the Director of Family Life Ministries and Womens’s
Ministries at her church having recently served as District Coordinator
of Family Life Ministries from 2004-2006 on the Barbados District
of the Church of the Nazarene.
Sis Arthur also teaches Sunday school and serve on the Missionary
Board at her local assembly, and is responsible for educating the
congregation about the development of missions throughout the world
in the Church of the Nazarene.
However, her greatest joy, and fulfillment comes when she is given
the
opportunity to preach and teach God’s Word and to see others
come to
know Him as Lord and Saviour of their lives.
Sis Marcena Arthur a vessel created for His purpose!
