From 2008 when Springs of Hope Care Ministries was founded it has undergone a lot of struggles and challenges meeting the needs of the children.. Due to increased number of children, we were compelled to set up schools to provide both Christian and secular education to these children.

Currently we have 3 schools both Kenya and Uganda. Bright Angels - Uganda, Bright school - Kenya and Bright Angels – Kenya.

These schools have children between the Ages 3 to 9 years and 90% have either lost both or one parent to HIV/AIDS.

These schools need a helping hand in terms of Scholastic materials, furniture, provision of food, uniform, classes construction, volunteers to teach English and Bible Stories and Teachers’ support.

This is Mr Wilson he is our English teacher and church elder he is 71 years old.

This is Esther the Religious Education teacher. She is a wonderful worshiper and a great asset to the Springs of Hope church.

We are praying to have high school for these children when they get to that level.

We also have a school that some of the orphans attend.

We have temporary structures as can be seen alongside. We anticipate to put up permanent structures that will bring a modern learning environment.

The school currently has Kindergarten up to grade 6.

There are tremendous needs and opportunities to serve at Springs of Hope thus all Volunteers are welcome to get involved.

All of these children are in Springs of Hope Child Sponsorship program.

According to UNICEF, Uganda has 2.5 million orphans. Of that number, 1.2 million are orphaned by AIDS.

In Uganda familial and tribal ties are very strong. Communities, families and friends are motivated to look after orphan children in their homes. This is much more true than in other cultures around the world, including the West.

However there are many orphans that need care and Springs of Hope has a burden to establish this child sponsorship program.

In 2015 Jenny and Lisa, the UCT Vice Chair visited Springs of Hope School.

The African Community Moringa Project was introduced to the teachers in this Busia school, educational handouts were given out as well as children's Moringa colouring books.

A small selection of seeds were handed out to enable the teachers to establish mature Moringa trees to build up seed stock to supply the schools and in the region.
