CARRIACOU - meeting with the principles

	An urgent meeting was called and all the principles of the schools attended with less than 12 hours notice.
All teachers welcomed us and representative of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Gertrude Niles was present. The topics covered included the damages met by schools and how these might be addressed post haste so as to accommodate OVER 200 students from Grenada.
	There was also the need to address the supply concerns and furniture and furnishing needs, as many of the schools double as Hurricane shelters and were in pretty sad shape before the storm. Seen here Jenny Tryhane

Carriacou schools Meet the principles Bishops College Bougles Pre School Dover Government Harvey Vale Primary Harvey Vale Government Hillsborough Government Hillsborough Secondary L'Esterre Primary L'Esterre Secondary Mt Pleasant Government Windward Primary	A suggestion was made to look into twinning schools from Barbados and Trinidad with schools in Carriacou, this was met with enthusiasm and with that in mind we agreed to create web pages for each school with a view of building on these pages as supplies are shipped and the situation in the schools eased by the help of the women's NGO's of the Caribbean.
We were surrounded by inspirational people, and not just the principles of the schools and the District Educational Officer, Mrs Gertrude Niles but the Dalai Lama...
