UNITED CARIBBEAN TRUST- Family Emergency Plan


We have to prepare and have handy a series of things which will be useful in case our lives are interrupted by a disaster. Ensure you have enough emergency supplies to last 72 hours and these supplies should be checked and changed regularly.

  • Canned food or food that needs very little cooking
  • Can opener
  • First Aid Kit
  • Radio and spare batteries
  • Different Hygiene articles
  • Water proof box to keep the most important personal and family documents e.g. passport
  • Notebook and pencil
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • Bleach
  • Matches

DIRECTORY TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND ADDRESSES OF EMERGENCIES








  • Telephone and addresses of emergency services, fire, police, doctor, red cross, district nurse.
  • Telephone and addresses of public utilities, water, electricity etc
  • Telephone and addresses of church, schools and workplaces as well as places where family members visit regularly
  • .

    We have to decide clearly, who is in charge of what during an emergency taking into account while we are at home or far away from it.

    We have to decide on a series of ideal behavior and concrete actions imagining all the possible situations that might present themselves in different types of emergencies.
