Malawi Market Ministry - Africa Appeal

Malawi Mission

Africa Appeal - Malawi Mission, Hope for Haiti, Take back Tanzania and Sudan Aid are concepts conceived out of the desire to assist with empowerment programmes within the Caribbean and in Africa.

Companies joining this project will commit to donating a percentage of sales to assist with the project of their choice.

Much interest has been shown and there are a wide range of companies serious about helping. They include a variety of homemade products such as natural fruit juices, natural condiments, herbal health products, arts and crafts. Products range will include items in the culinary line such as pepper sauce, BBQ sauce, fish and chicken seasoning.

All products are a 100% natural with no added preservatives. Other products are coming on line including art, books, music and banners.

In the herbal health line will be indigenous herbal teas, natural soaps, spices, organic juices, oils, healing salve, facial scrubs and body creams to name but a few!

Within the arts and craft line products range from hand made pottery, batik silk printing, patchwork and prints as well as some original oil paintings from around the Caribbean.

These products are 100% Bajan made by female entrepreneurs to empower women in Malawi.

Mission Malawi will gain financial support through these products to continue training and supporting women and children.

The initial product lines will be finalized and marketing will commence on Ramona's return from Malawi in mid 2006.

Once the product line has been finalized product testing will be carried out in different customer environments.

We are hoping to familiarise customers with products by holding sample days in retail stores, market gardens, churches and other venues.

With these results in mind we aim to put our product line in retail stores across Barbados and within the tourism sector as well as online.

Our vision is:

To have one retail market where products can reach the consumer directly and donations can get to the projects swiftly with minimal administrative charges and maximum transparency through the internet.

RECENT PRESS RELEASE SEPTEMBER 2006

Senator Lynette Eastmond, Barbados' Minister of Commerce, Consumer Affairs and Business Development, speaking recently at a business seminar, at United Nations (UN) House, in association with the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC), is of the view that the "synergies to be derived from Barbados' reconnection with Africa, have great potential for culture, the economy, trade and investment".

Senator Lynette Eastmond commented. "It is our government's intention to foster greater ties with the African." Senator Eastmond urged the private sector to "explore the possibility of engagement in meaningful commercial activity with Africa with the support and facilitation of government".
Mr. Anton Norris, formerly of the BIDC, commented that despite sharing a unique cultural history with the African continent, "Barbados was yet to build a lasting bridge for trading with our neighbours across the Atlantic." < Read more >

GIDEON'S ARMY SILVER PARTNERS

It is our aim to assist our Silver Partners to generate their commitment of US $50 per month by entering into our Africa Appeal Market Ministry.

By committing to selling 100 bottles of 'Natural Fruit Juice' at church every week they will generate the revenue needed to meet the US $50 per month commitment. PLUS they will be able to generate sufficient funds to sponsor a Pastor's child or they may select to sponsor two pastors.

UCT will supply them with the frozen 'Natural Fruit Juice' they commit to selling through their church. We will deliver the frozen juice to their church on Saturday into the hands of the individual responsible for the sale of the juice. The Sunday sale money will be collected the next Saturday when another stock of juice is delivered.

We trust that the remaining profits from this Kingdom Building Business will result in sufficient funds to start the first Orphan Care Centre in Malawi within a year.

It is our urgent call to empower the body of Christ and send them out for the Great Commission.

This will be achieved through the Pastor Sponsorship Programme training African Pastors at the Assemblies of God School of Theology in Malawi to start then spreading into Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda and Sudan by the end of 2006.

The commitment of Assemblies of God World Missions is to establishing indigenous churches after the New Testament pattern throughout Africa.

"So we follow the chart of God’s Word, propelled by the wind of the Spirit, and stay the course in our worldwide mission." - L. John Bueno - Executive Director Assemblies of God World Missions
