Pearline Trott

Pearline Trott, Managing Director at Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited

Pearline received a Diploma in Arts & Science with merit from the Bermuda College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Economics and minoring in Business from Acadia University in Canada. She also attended the City Banking College in London, England and is the first Bermudian to attain the highly accredited designation of Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. She is also a graduate of the Central Law Training International Programmes by successfully completing the Foundation Certificate and Diploma in International Trust Management with Distinction. She is presently pursing her MBA for Wealth Managers, Fiduciaries and Trustees with the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.

She began her trust employment with Bermuda Trust Company as a Trust Administrator, followed by three years with Butterfield Trust Co. Ltd as Trust Officer. She has over ten years experience in the industry and became a member of the Society of Trust & Estates Practitioner (STEP) in 1997. She is the President of STEP (Bermuda Branch).

Other feathers in her cap include Former President of the Big Brothers & Sisters of Bermuda and she is also an Executive Committee member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (Bermuda Branch)

Winette Phillips

Winette Phillips originally joined Appleby Spurling Hunter, Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited's affiliated law firm, in 1992 as a Probate Administrator. After a break, she returned in May 1998 as a Trust & Estates Administrator for Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited and was promoted to Officer in July 2000.

Winette attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Queens University and the Certificate and Diploma in Supervisory Management Studies from the Institute of Supervisory Management in the United Kingdom. She is also a graduate of the Central Law Training International Programmes and successfully completed the Foundation Certificate and Diploma in International Trust Management which qualified her to be a member of the Society of Estate & Trust Practitioners. Her portfolio concentrates on the administration of local estates and trusts, and includes the world wide assets of several clients' accounts.
Winette has also completed the Diploma in Offshore Trust Management and is a member of STEP.

Prior to her tenure with Appleby Spurling Hunter and Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited, Winette worked in the hospitality industry for 22 years, her last position as the Director of Sales & Conference Services for a major hotel in Bermuda.

James Fullerton

James Fullerton is a Trust Officer at Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited. He is responsible for a portfolio of accounts that concentrate on the administration of local and international estates and trusts, including their worldwide assets.

James joined the firm on 1st April 2002. Prior to that he was a Senior Trust Administrator in the Private Client Division of the Bank of Bermuda for three years. Whilst at the Bank of Bermuda, he completed various banking and insurance courses as well as the Central Law Training International Programmes of the Foundation Certificate and Diploma in International Trust Management. He is a member of the Society of Estate & Trust Practitioners. James was previously a member of the Bermuda Police for 29 years.

Fredrica Butterfield

Fredrica Butterfield joined Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited in 1999 and currently manages a varied portfolio of local and foreign trusts.

Fredrica is a graduate of the Bermuda College and of the Central Law Training International Programmes wherein she successfully completed the Foundation Certificate and Diploma in International Trust Management, which qualified her to be a member of the Society of Estate & Trust Practitioners. Her past experience includes two years with the Bank of Bermuda as an Assistant Dealer in the Investment Division, and prior to joining Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited, was an Administrative Assistant at the King Edward Memorial Hospital.

Charnita Howes

Charnita Howes joined Appleby Spurling Hunter, Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited's affiliated law firm, in April 1998 as a Corporate Administrator in the Securities and Financial Structures area. She transferred to Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited in May 2001 as a Corporate Administrator.

Charnita has over 16 years experience in corporate administration and has successfully completed Corporate Secretarial Practice I and II. Her portfolio concentrates on the administration of local and exempted private trust and investment holding companies.

Lisa Cumberbatch

Lisa Cumberbatch joined Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited as a Corporate Administrator in October 2002. She is responsible for the administration of a portfolio of Companies owned by trusts.

Her past experience includes 2 years as Office Manager with Butler Holdings (Barbados) Limited, an Offshore Investment Company, and prior to joining Appleby Trust (Bermuda) Limited, was employed by Ernst & Young Trust Corporation (Barbados Branch) in the International Private Wealth Management Department.

She received her Associate Degree in English and Law and is presently awaiting results for the ICSA's Certificate in Offshore Finance & Administration. Upon successful completion, she intends to pursue the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners Diploma in International Trust Management.
