Hurricane Dorian Disaster Relief 2019

The effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas were among the worst experienced for any natural disaster in the country. Hurricane Dorian struck the Abaco Islands as a Category 5 hurricane on September 1, and a day later hit Grand Bahama Island at the same category. Damage was estimated at over US$7 billion, and there were at least 43 deaths in the country.

Give a Goat initiative

Years ago UCT was able to enable Africa Training Bible School to purchase a 12 acre farm which for years has been used to produce corn to help feed the Pastors that come to the Bible School.

More recently we have been considering expanding into Animal Husbandry and cows and goats have been selected for this new project, quickly expanding to rabbits

The land runs down to a river along the boundary and will be  extremely helpful when we start our animal farming.

Just US $50 will enable our team in Tanzania to purchase a goat.

To compliment this programme we will be introducing the Moringa curriculum

On September 19th 2017 Hurricane Maria smashed into the Caribbean island of Dominica with 160 mph winds, ripping the roof off even the Prime Minister's residence and causing what he called "mind-boggling" devastation.

United Caribbean Trust, assisted by The Living Room, immediately re opening the warehouse in Wildey and began the Dominica with Love grassroots relief effort. Thanks to Richard and Angus Edghill of Caribbean Consultants Ltd who have donated the warehouse space, orchestrated by Phil Edwards from The Living Room.

Haiti Cholera Campaign 2010

Please help us help Haiti

The outbreak of cholera in Haiti erupted in the Artibonite River valley in central Haiti in mid-October and initially seemed to have been contained, but the toll from the chronic diarrheal disease has since soared to over 643 dead with around 10,000 people being treated in hospital.

"If cholera cases continue to rise at this rate, we'll quickly be overwhelmed," warned Yves Lambert, head of infectious diseases at the main public hospital in downtown Port-au-Prince.

UCT is committed to supplying hundreds of Sawyer PointOne water filters to schools and churches within the Port au Prince and St. Marc area, our team in Haiti are on standby as the filters are rushed to Haiti.

Thanks to the generosity of the Barbadian public we will be able to save thousands of lives.

Seen here some of the residence of Cite Soleil receiving their filters immediately after the earthquake.
