The VISION of Guthrie Grove Church of God is to be a growing community passionately modeling the life of Christ through significant relationships with seekers as well as believers. To identify, train, and support believers as leaders who carry the ministry of the local church into the world. To demonstrate God's love, creativity, and power as we provide an atmosphere to encounter God in worship and encouragement.

The MISSION of Guthrie Grove Church of God is to advance the Kingdom of God through public worship, the preaching of the Gospel, the administration of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, consistent Christian living by its members, personal evangelism, missionary endeavor, Christian education, Christian stewardship, and Christian mutual concerns in the context of our distinctive Biblical message.

Sunday School - Adults and Children are offered this time to study God's Word with life application every Sunday Morning through a variety of classes. Children have the opportunity to participate in interactive Sunday School classes entitled Kingdom Quest. They learn Bible stories and Christian Living in classes and through various sites such as music workshop, cooking, videos, Quest guests, crafts, and more.

BYF-Berean Youth Fellowship Youth compose this dynamic, active ministry engaged in learning and service while enjoying the fellowship of others. Several activities and programs are sponsored by the Youth Department including Ministry Teams, Bible Studies, Camps, Retreats, Student Teaching Program, outreach and more.

Missions

Junior Church - reaching children 4yrs. to 8 yrs. with music, Bible stories, puppets, skits, etc. each Sunday morning during Worship Service

Prayer Chains - those with a need or praise are lifted up in prayer by members contacted through the telephone

Helping Hands - a ministry to use carpentry and building skills to aide those with special needs

Feed My Sheep - a ministry to provide meals for those who have been hospitalized and are recovering at home

Visitation - a ministry of friendly members who would love to visit at your request

Bible Study - Wed. night at the church Bible Studies are offered for all ages, Small group Bible studies in the local area

Sisters Act - Ladies enjoy this monthly event while also helping in various community projects

Adelle Chandler Ladies Circle - Ladies enjoy this time of fellowship while meeting once a month in members homes including Bible study and refreshments

Ladies Circle #1 - This group meets once a month and may include visitation, refreshments, Bible Study and Quiz

Media Ministry-This group of volunteers reaches out to the church members, our community and beyond through modern media including audio, video, print, and the internet

Sports - Softball, Basketball teams are offered for our members who wish to enjoy sports in a Christian atmosphere

Singing and Sharing Visitation-Nursing Home Sessions are held at Countryside Park in Easley on the fourth Monday of each month

Bereavement Meal Teams - Provide dinner and support to family members of the deceased on the day of the funeral

Music - Ensembles, Youth Praise Team, Choir, Youth Choir and the Adult Praise Team are offered to those who wish to use their special talent of singing or playing an instrument to worship God

Our ministries are led by volunteers who want to make a difference while using and discovering their God given gifts. Volunteering is incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable.
