1. GAMES: (10 minutes)

Trust Fall: In the Trust Fall activity, one person has to fall on purpose while the other has to catch him. Let your kid stand with another partner in an opposite direction. One of the partners has to stand in front of the other and make his body go stiff. He has to give a signal that he is about to fall backwards. As the kid falls, the partner has to catch him gently and prevent him from hitting the ground. The activity begins with less distance between the partners. As the levels increase and the partners start trusting each other, the distance increases with each level.

2. TEAM GAMES: (10 minutes)

Obstacle Walk: Create an Obstacle course with chairs, objects etc.

Divided the youth into two groups. Make sure that both the groups have the same number of players. Blindfold one group and let one kid from each group hold hands with each other to form a pair. Each pair should have one kid who has the blindfold and one who doesn't. Depending on the level and intensity of the activity, you can let the path be regular or add obstacles. The kid who is not blindfolded has to guide his partner carefully through the path and reach a safe zone. Once all kids are in the safe zone, switch the blindfold and put it on the kids who did not wear it earlier.

Remember we learnt what to do if anyone among you was in trouble? (Pray)

Lets review the 5 W's of prayer.

Who should pray? Anyone! These verses tell us that anyone who needs God's help should pray -- and that is all of us.
What should we pray about? Anything! We should pray for healing when we are sick and for forgiveness from sin. We should offer prayers of thanks when we are happy, and ask for help in times of trouble.
When should we pray? Anytime! If we should pray when we are in trouble, when we are sick, when we are happy that’s any time, isn't it?
Where should we pray? Anywhere! We should pray anywhere we are, because wherever we are, God is there!
Why should we pray? Because God answers prayer!

c) Teaching the Lesson

1 a • Read Matthew 6: 25 – 34

25  "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27  Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28  "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29  and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30  Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31  "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Since God knows all about you and knows your needs, what is there for you to worry about?

b • Read 1 Peter 5: 6 - 7

6  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7  casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

What does God want you to do with things you worry about?
_____________________________________ ___________________

c • Read Matthew 6: 8

8  "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him".

When does God know what you need for your daily provisions?
__________________________________________________________

Why do we pray if God already knows what we are going to ask? (Because God wants us to talk to Him.)

Prayer is an activity that shows God we are depending on Him to supply our needs. His answer renews our confidence that God hears and answers our prayers.

Sometimes the answer is “yes”—and sometimes we may learn later that God started to answer before we prayed! Other times the answer is “wait.” We, or the situation, may not be ready for the abundant answer God wants to give us. Sometimes God’s answer is “no,” because a positive answer would hinder the work He is doing in our lives.

Not only do believers have the tremendous resource of prayer, but they have the security of knowing that nothing can separate them from God’s steadfast love.

2. Read Romans 8:28

28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

This Bible reading tells us about the stability we have in Christ. . . . .

God can do nothing that is contrary to His own perfect nature. We do not need to fear what God has planned for our lives. Since He is holy, knows all things, is perfectly just, and loves with perfect, unchanging love, we know that God always wants the best for His children.

His discipline, correction, judgment, and wrath are all balanced by His love, mercy, and grace. God is perfect and all that He does is right and flawless. We can be assured that God will not ask us to experience something unless it is for our own good. We can trust Him to do what is best for us.

GOD’S PROMISES
To know God better, find the promise in each of the following Bible verses.

3. A. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD trust in him and he will do this: Psalm 37: 4 - 5

______________________________________________________

B. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5 – 6

______________________________________________________

C. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29: 13

________________________________________________________

Think about practical things we can do to allow the attributes of God to be seen in us, so others will see His holiness. As we each suggest things, list them on the blank page at the end of the lesson. The title of the list can be Ways to Grow in Christian Living.

You may start the discussion by saying, “I am going to write—Be more faithful in reading the Bible to learn how God wants us to live.” Encourage each person to suggest something that would help them in their Christian life.

God is perfectly holy, righteous, and pure. We are all sinners and fall short of the perfection of God. No one has ever come up to God’s standard of purity, for He is perfect and spotless.

The only way we can please God is by living lives that are clean and obedient to His will. When we receive Christ into our lives and invite Him to live His life in and through us, He is our holiness.

4. Consider the future events of your life. How can these promises affect how you prepare for the future?

__________________________________________________________

5. What kind of plans does God have for your future?

Let us recall the Bible Memory Verse for this session.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.
Jeremiah 29: 11

God always expresses Himself in perfect love. Do not doubt His love. We can know that His plan is always best!
__________________________________________________________
6. Because God knows you as an individual He has expressed His great love for you by doing what you could not do for yourself.

What did He do for you according to Romans 5: 6 – 9

6  For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him

(He took care of our sin problem and has saved us from God’s anger against sin and those who disobey Him.)

7. When we surrender our lives to our Omnipotent (all-powerful) God, why can we have complete confidence that we are safe in His hands?

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.
Psalm 147: 5

(God knows what is best for us and He has the power to keep us safe. He sees danger that we cannot see.)

6. APPLICATION/ENCOUNTERING GOD:

CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, how we thank You that You know all about us and You still love us. Thank You for the perfect plan You have for our lives. Help us make the things we have learned a part of our daily living. We pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

Let this powerful list of God's promises teach you more about His incredible character. Reflect on this rich collection of promise quotes to help you in whatever you're facing today. Take encouragement from the truth that God is with you.

As scripture says in 2 Corinthians 1:20 , we can take heart because "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are " Yes " in Christ. And so through him the " Amen " is spoken by us to the glory of God."

Whether we're on top of the world, or in the midst of trial, like King David in Psalm 119 we can call on God to fulfill His promises, "Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed."

The Bible is full of examples of God providing for His people. Time and again, God promises to provide whether our need is land, food, shelter, comfort or hope. Reflect on all the times when God has provided for you and write a short testimony in the space below.
